Deuteronomy 4:41-43

Then Moses set apart on the east side of the Jordan three cities1 to which a homicide could flee, someone who unintentionally kills another person, the two not having been at enmity before; the homicide2 could flee to one of these cities and live: Bezer in the wilderness on the tableland belonging to the Reubenites, Ramoth in Gilead belonging to the Gadites, and Golan in Bashan belonging to the Manassites.

1 It is 6 cities in Numbers. Does this mean there will be 3 more on the other side of the Jordan?

2 “homicide” seems a strange word to use – is that a translation issue?

Take-home: The establishment of cities of refuge for those unintentionally involved in killing is again emphasized.
